Nothing happens on Launch

Check the status line on the settings page. A memory-read cheat needs the game running first; an injected one needs the game's own launcher to have started it; Cyclops needs a screen it can read.

The overlay is missing

On Wayland the overlay needs the compositor's permission the first time; on X11 it needs a compositing window manager for transparency. Both are explained by the status line when they are the problem.

A config will not apply

A published config made on a newer cheat can carry settings the installed one does not have yet. Update the cheat and apply it again.
